As an agent of the Church, you have total freedom to share your  faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and to apply biblical principles in your counseling. You can encourage repentance and biblically directed behaviors.

As a "Minister of Counseling" you are placed under ethical standards that exceed those set by the state--standards that are written on one's heart.

If you have a divine call on your life to counsel others and want to share the joy of living a Christian life with your counselee in order to help them overcome their problems, you need to clearly separate yourself from the world and the bondage of state license.
